Professionally, Kevin was a highly respected teacher and coach. He earned his master’s degree in special education and devoted his career to Marshall County High School, where he left a lasting impact on countless students. Known for his patience, compassion, and ability to inspire, Kevin made a difference in both academic and personal growth for many young people.
His coaching career began at South Marshall Middle School in 1996, where he spent a decade shaping young athletes. He later coached travel basketball and baseball, always treating players like family. At the time of his passing, he served as middle school baseball coach and freshman baseball coach at Marshall County High School, continuing his lifelong commitment to student-athletes.
Kevin also achieved recognition as a Division I men’s basketball official for the NCAA, working across several major conferences including the Missouri Valley, Ohio Valley, ASUN, Southern, and Sun Belt Conferences. His professionalism and knowledge of the game earned him great respect throughout the officiating community.
He will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family, his students, and his athletes, as well as the kindness and integrity he showed in every aspect of his life. His legacy lives on through the countless lives he influenced.
